Easter is the celebration of JESUS death, burial and resurrection. Jesus was crucified, died and was buried on the “Good Friday ’’. He rose from the dead on Easter Sunday .Easter is celebrating Jesus victory over death and mankind’s hope for eternal life. The fact that Jesus rose from dead demonstrates His power over death and through Him we have hope of eternal life .Easter signals a new beginning .Easter and hope are synonymous. This special day reminds us that there is life beyond this one, true life, and glorious eternal life. In the Bible, in book of John chapter 14 verses 2 & 3 Jesus says “In my Father’s house are many mansions, if it were not so. I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. I will come back and take you with me.” Jesus victory over death gives all human kind that hope.
The crunch of Christian faith is based on the fact that when Jesus died, the veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom and this gives every believer a right and free access to stand before the Almighty GOD and intercede for himself and others .The manner and format of Christian worship can differ but the basic foundation of Christian belief and faith rests on the virgin birth, death on the cross and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In John chapter 3 verse 16 it says “God so loved the world that HE gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. How marvellous is God’s mercy and grace, brought to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Identifying with Christ means putting to death our ego , pride, greed and our selfish ways and rising victorious to love, hope and eternal life .It means connecting with God, the source of life, and living with love for God , others and self . It means living with the power of risen Christ in hope and making a difference in the world. Whether we are remembered by the whole world or just a few —— we must be remembered for our hope in everlasting life, our strength of character and our love for our fellow human beings. We can embrace the miracle and magic of Easter by living our lives full of hope and love.

Thank you Heavenly Father that you have spread the stars in the heaven, and laid the foundation of this earth. You have created mankind in your own image and crowned us with glory and honour. Thank you for your gift of love through Jesus Christ, and pray that you bless the world as we celebrate the new hope in Easter.
